This panel offers attendees a 360-degree view into efforts to integrate a diversity, equity, and inclusion framework into programming in YMCAs across the United States. The panel will feature presentations from YMCA of the USA and Child Trends that provide an overview of efforts to promote diversity, equity and inclusion at the organization and program levels; findings on how out-of-school time and other youth-serving programs are incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion into their programs; and an example of how this lens is employed on the ground by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte. Attendees will gain an understanding of how to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in youth programs at the organization-, program-, and data collection-levels.
